DESCRIPTION:Pilbara for Purpose has partnered with ADHD WA to deliver an Online ADHD Teacher Professional Development Workshop for teachers and education assistants in the Shire of East Pilbara.\nThis session will focus on practical tools and strategies that can be applied in primary and secondary classrooms.\nTopics covered (suitable for both primary and secondary school context) include:\n\ninclusive classroom management and clever ideas for adjusting the environment\neffective approaches for behaviour management and reinforcing positive behaviour\nemotional self-regulation and critical support for social emotional wellbeing\nsimple and effective accommodations and differentiation that supports a strengths-based approach\nengaging with parents to support learning\n\nWith generous financial support from the Shire of East Pilbara.\nMeet your facilitator: Fiona Alexander – ADHD Coach\nOver Fiona’s 25-year teaching career, she has taught numerous children, all with their unique traits, supporting and championing every student. The various ways in which students learn and think is enlightening to Fiona and was a stimulus for her to train as an ADHD Coach and embark on her coaching pathway to help students and families.\n
