DESCRIPTION:Pilbara For Purpose and PKKP Aboriginal Corporation are pleased to support the delivery of Mental Health in the Workplace training by the WA Association for Mental Health, to the community service sector. Staff working for not-for-profits or Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations are invited to register their attendance for this full-day in-person training in Karratha.\nAbout the training:\nThis positive and practical workshop is designed to promote and maintain a healthy workforce and explores ways and means in how to build a supportive and mentally healthy workplace culture.\nThis workshop is designed for those who lead, supervise and support others in the workplace, with the aim to achieve the best outcomes for both individual staff and organisations as a whole.\nIn this course participants will learn the following:\n\nDevelop an understanding of mental health and an awareness of the warning signs in order to identify vulnerable staff.\nGain awareness of employer responsibility in identifying and responding to psychosocial hazards in the workplace.\nGain insight into how to create/build a supportive and mentally healthy workplace culture.\nDevelop the necessary tools, skills and ability to respond and support a person in emotional distress or crisis.\nBe mindful of own wellbeing and capacity to support a person with mental health challenges\n\nOpen to all Community members.\nTarget Audience: This course is suitable for Managers, Leaders, HR staff and Supervisors.\nRegistration is limited to 24 participants.\nRegister for the training here: https://events.humanitix.com/mental-health-in-the-workplace-waamh-training ( https://events.humanitix.com/mental-health-in-the-workplace-waamh-training )\nCost: FREE\nThis course generally costs $245 per person.\nYou can learn more about WAAMH and the training here: https://waamh.org.au/events-and-training\nThis training has been made possible thanks to the generous support of PKKP Aboriginal Corporation.\nImportant, please note:\n\nIf tickets are sold out, or you work for a Government agency, and are interested in attending please email pilbara4purpose@gmail.com to be placed on a waitlist.\n\n
