New report highlights acute shortage of childcare services in regional WA

A landmark report prepared by the Mitchell Institute – Deserts and Oases: How accessible is childcare in Australia – has revealed that WA has the lowest overall childcare accessibility in the country with 68 per cent of West Australians living in areas that are blighted by an “acute shortage of childcare places’. Families in regional areas are the ones missing out the most.
